Got up at 5.30am. I I should try to have very regular sleeping routines - as normal as I am able to when all I do is sleep. I took the dog for a short and cold walk, and then carried in some sacks of firewood. It was freezing inside also, so heating up the house was needed.

When not sleeping, I have tried to get some things done, all while listening to audio books. First finished "Aldri være trygg" (Never be safe) by Norwegian Hanne Gellein. Third in a series so far. Crime, the kind of light reading/listening I am able to follow these days. But did not like it much. Even crime can have depth, this one did not. Too stereotypical, flat language and not a very original plot. Went on to "Frikjent" by Terje Helsingeng. A docu-audio about a famous criminal case in Norway in the 80s. A woman shot her husband - and she was eventually declared innocent because she had been abused by her man for 14 years. That being done, have just went on to something very different; "Piranesi" by Susanna Clarke. I am very curious about this one, having both read her first novel (Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell ) and seen the TV-series. The TV-series better than the book, but of course only possible because of a really original novel.
